**No Troop Meeting on Monday October 31 **

At the last meeting the Troop Leadership decided that we should not have a meeting on Halloween. 

So, our next meeting will be on Nov 7th.  This will also be the last meeting before our Bicycling Campout at Mineral Wells State Park. 

Permission slips will be sent out this week and the cost is $20 per Scout.

Partents -- Please be sure to bring the Permission Slips and Money to Mr. Held when we meet on Monday, Nov 7th.

Troop 709, 

We had another successful Troop Leadership Election last month and the Troop has selected another great SPL.  At the Troop Leader Training on Sept 10-11, you will learn more about what responsibilities you have in your new position and what the responsibilities are for the rest of the positions in the Troop. 

It is important that as many members of the Troop attend the TLT.

Even if you are not holding a position in the Troop at the present time it will give you insight into what all the Troop positions are and what you should expect from those Scouts that are filling those roles. 

I have asked the Troop Leaders to come up with a goal for their position and we will discuss that at the TLT. 

My goals for this year are to focus on how we can LIFT each other up to higher rank advancement and have more productive Troop meetings through learning and practicing Scouting Skills.
